The Association of Community Health Councils for England & Wales and all English CHCs were Abolished by the Government on 1st December 2003.
ACHCEW was the national voice of Community Health Councils (CHCs). ACHCEW provided a forum for CHCs; assisted them in the performance of their functions; and represented the interests of the public in the NHS at a national level.
